Foreign investment inflow totaled EUR 767 million
Total foreign direct investment inflow amounted to EUR 769.9 million last year, while 425.2 million were discharged from the country at the same time, according to preliminary data from the Central Bank (CBCG).
The net inflow of foreign direct investment, the difference between their inflow and outflow, amounted to EUR 344.7 million last year, which is 6.9 percent more than in 2018.
‘The total inflow of foreign direct investment was 10.3 percent, lower than in 2018, which is a result of the decrease in inflow from equity investments’, the Bulletin said.
Out of the country, EUR 95.7 million outflows from resident investments were made, while withdrawals from non-residents invested in Montenegro totaled EUR 329.5 million.
Foreign direct investment inflows in the form of equity investments amounted to EUR 412.3 million, accounting for 53.6 percent of the total.
Of that, EUR 170 million was invested in real estate and EUR 242.3 million in businesses and banks. FDI inflows in the form of intercompany debt amounted to EUR 321.7 million or 41.8 percent of the total.
