Montenegro’s largest foreign trade partners in 2022
According to preliminary data, the total foreign trade of Montenegro for January-April 2022 amounted to 1,216.4 million euros, which indicates an increase of 56.9% compared to the same period last year, according to Monstat.
Exports of goods were worth 278.6 million euros, and imports 937.8 million euros. Compared to the same period last year, exports increased by 105.2% and imports increased by 46.7%.
The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 29.7% and is higher compared to the same period last year when it amounted to 21.2%.
The largest foreign trade partners in exports were: Switzerland (EUR 63.8 million), Serbia (EUR 45.6 million), and Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 43.5 million).
The largest foreign trade partners in imports were: Serbia (EUR 157.8 million), China (EUR 91.0 million) and Germany (EUR 75.0 million). Foreign trade was highest with CEFTA signatories and the European Union.
