Exports jumped 154%: Switzerland was the largest export partner in January
According to preliminary data from Monstat, the total foreign trade of Montenegro in January amounted to 208.8 million euros, which is 61.8 percent more than in the same month last year.
Monstat announced that exports in January this year, compared to last year, jumped as much as 154 percent, to 64.3 million euros, and imports also grew, 39.2 percent to 144.4 million euros.
The largest foreign trade partners in exports were Switzerland with 16.3 million euros, Serbia with 10.9 million euros and Bosnia and Herzegovina with 7.5 million euros.
The largest foreign trade partners in imports were Serbia with 24 million euros, China with 16.6 million euros and Germany with 11.5 million euros.
Foreign trade was highest with the signatories of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) and with the European Union (EU).
