Montenegro at the 71st place of this year’s global competitiveness index of the World Economic Forum
World Economic Forum published the Global Competitiveness Report 2018 which analyses competitiveness of economies in 140 countries in the world. On this year’s list of the World Economic Forum, Montenegro took 71st position, six positions higher than last year.
The index included 12 domains, the so called pillars, that are considered to be of special importance and that have an impact on the competitiveness of a country. Particularly positive results were recorded in the domain of labor market and they enhanced the indicators for 49 positions in comparison to the last year’s Report.
This Report, along with Fraiser Report, as well as publications of Credit rating agencies, S&P and Moody, this ranking is another confirmation of reform efforts of the Montenegrin government put in the maintenance of public finances, reinforcement of competitive position and implementation of measures envisaged aged by fiscal strategy”, conclude the representatives of the Ministry of Finance.
