Uniprom builds four factories in KAP, announced an export of 300 million
The construction of four processing factories starts in the area of the former alumina factory, which will work exclusively for the automotive industry. the total export from factories in the teritory of Uniprom KAP 2020 will amount to $300 million. said the owner of Uniprom Veselin Pejović.
Pejović announces that future processing factories will get raw materials from the new alloy factory, which opens in February next year, as well as that since 2020 „no kilogram of aluminum will leave the KAP untouched, as it has been a practice for decades“.
„In the composition of KAP, a new factory of alloys will be on the place of the existing old factory Silumina. From a famous manufacturer of equipment – Sistem Tehnic, we bought the most modern new equipment for the production of 30.000 tons of special alloys. This factory of alloys will be put into operation in February 2019, in which 54 worker will be employed and an investment of 11 million euros will be relized. In June 2019, with a Turkish partner, the Cakjašar group, on the site of the 20.000 square mile KAP circuit, another new factory with the most modern tehnology for production of fences and cellular wires of various dimensions“, said Pejović.
As he added, in November 2019, a new factory of logs will be opened, with a capacity of 70.00 tons.
Uniprom set up the necessary installations three months ago to use liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a fuel for production in factories Anoda, Livnica and future factories in the KAP circle.
„You know very well that KAP For 40 years used mazut, fuel oil and petroleum. I first introduced natural gas in aluminum production in the region of the former Yugoslavia. It has invested three million euros. Before that we spent 10 tons of petroleum daily. This is a big thing for both Montenefro and chapter 27 in the negotiations with the EU regarding the environment, and you know that for 30 years I was relived of the obligations to release the harmful CO2. With this innovative investment and the state, I take out the load on this basis.“ Pejović concluded and noted that his goal was to create a sustainable KAP, and not to shut down production facilities and social shocks as they are happening these days in the Mostar Combine and the Slovenian Talum.
At the Uniprom KAP 495 employees are currently employed, according to Pejovic’s words. It was not long ago that the company left about twenty retirees who were working engagement.
„We have overhauled 180 production cells of which currently works more than 170. When I took over the assets of KAP we had a monthly production of 2.800 tons of alumnium, and last month we had a production of 3.600 tons. Development strategy will develop on alumnium processing, which is a condition of survival“, consider Pejović.
